Hot cross buns, Hot cross buns,
One a penny, two a penny, Hot cross buns."
Everyone is now back from their respective mountains and here at the Mill we indulged in a few hot cross buns and mugs of tea.
Rumour has it that most parties had a “cracking day” and really enjoyed their hill walking. The young people are in good spirits and the weather has been warm enough for a few water pistol fights before dinner. Everyone is sorting kit, taking showers and catching up with the other parties and so I will blog more later this evening after dinner.
We do, however, have 3 more “official” Explorer Scouts than this time yesterday. Will, Ed and Adam got their Good Friday off to a memorable start by making their promise and being invested into Lygean Explorers.
There are plenty of superstitions that go with Good Friday such as having a hair cut on Good Friday will prevent toothache the rest of the year, eggs laid on Good Friday will never go bad and in the Eastern orthodox Churches, it is known as the "Great Friday"; for us it has been a truly Great Friday.
