We made it!

At the mill

A fairly uneventful journey saw us reaching the Mill at around 7.30pm. We stopped off at the M6 Toll Road services  to stretch our legs and buy refreshments at 4.15pm. Once our drivers had a short rest and we had all refuelled, we clambered back into the buses and continued on with the journey.

Pit stop

I have to say this is my first experience of a minibus full of Scouts and it was a pleasure to travel with them. This does not mean we were not delighted to reach our destination and of course our evening meal of pasta bake and salad.

Our advance party had left Ware this morning and in the words of the GSL "Did us proud" by having a meal ready and waiting for us on arrival.

Yes, we dress for dinner!


Tonight the programme promises unpacking, route planning and a film. Hopefully we will all get some sleep as well!
